About Us

Therapeutic Yoga is created and adapted for People with Parkinson’s to move, breathe and to connect to their inner potential in a safe and encouraging environment.

I began this fascinating journey into Therapeutic Yoga for People with Parkinson’s when one of my students rang me to ask if I would lead a class for a small group of friends with Parkinson’s. I have never looked back!

Six years later the students and classes are progressing. I am continually developing my knowledge of movement and Parkinson’s and have trained with PD Warrior, LSVT BIG and LOUD, and the Minded Institute. Most recently I have completed a two year training with the Feldenkrais walking and balance programme known as Bones for Life.

I have always enjoyed teaching. I began my teaching career in Classical Dance having trained at the Royal Academy of Dancing in London. However, as History was also a great passion of mine, I decided to change my path and study History at Exeter University and then gained a PGCE to teach A’level History at Exeter College. It seems that I have come full circle back to my love for teaching movement and I am thoroughly enjoying it.

I am a mother of four adult children who live all over the country. I enjoy time with them and their partners and with my many, wonderful grandchildren. Apart from Yoga, I enjoy walking, camping and reading.
